I’ve found the need for a press that can handle larger sized dies, and it was time to mount a few presses that haven’t been in service in a while.

Another item off my (to own) bucket list – The 357AMP Auto Mag Pistol
Its 1972. As if the 357Mag was not enough power, here comes the 357 automag .357AMP [9×33 mm]. Offered originally as a 2nd barrel to go with the 44AMP, they just aren’t all that common. For years I’ve wanted one, and that day has finally arrived!
357 automag ammo is made by necking down 44automag brass to a 357mag bullet, I have everything I need to make this (and I have) But I also have another collectible, orig box of 357automag SuperVel ammo.

Cleaning up the plates for the next outing.
I shoot steel. I pretty much only shoot steel any more. Since I made the investment to buy the steel and the stands, Its pretty much all I want to shoot. The gong of a 308 at 300 yards is so rewarding, not to mention the instant gratification of higher speed pistol shooting with a row of plates.
But, every now and then you gotta spend some time and $ on them. Here, I used 4 cans of spray paint to do both sides. Not bad for a years worth of abuse…

Nothing has made me want to give up reloading, until recently
Never before has the relative simplicity of a reloading machine frustrated me so much.
My 1050 and I have been friends for years, with pretty much no issues. But I recently added a GSI bullet feeder into the mix. Eight weeks I have been working on this thing, a day here, and a day there. Call for help, get new parts, call for more help, get weird suggestions, work some more, call for support, get more parts. As of today, I had visions of just tossing the whole mess into a trash can. The problem (for me) seems to fall into their custom tool head, and its bullet indexer. In an otherwise well built and great design, this part is the where it all just falls apart.
I cant keep the unit indexing reliably, which makes the loading speed closer to that of my 550b. So far it seems like I’d have this thing working 100% for about 40K rounds, to make up the time I’ve wasted screwing with it.
This is about 900$ and 4 weeks of my life that I’m just not going to be able to get back.
This thing is just not working, and short of dragging my entire bench to Phoenix, I don’t feel like I’m gonna get it working.

Sent my old GSI bullet feeder in for an upgrade. A few things I had issue with, should be corrected in this newer version.
Gun Light, on the cheap
Built a simple little combo for a cheap weapon light. I hate how these things go for 100$ and up, when the parts are worth 20$.
Using the best stuff China has to offer, I was able to put together a neat combo..
Renewed for 3 years!
